The 260 is Stannah's bespoke curved lift and needs a different approach because the rail is unique to your staircase. Straight stairlift ### Stannah 420 The 420 is Stannah's core straight model — swivel seat, powered footrest options and a rail fixed to the treads. Removal is straightforward: unfasten the rail brackets, lift off the carriage, disconnect the charge points and make good the fixings. Typical removal time: 1–2 hours Straight stairlift ### Stannah 600 (Siena / Sofia / Solus) The 600 series shares the same rail engineering as the 420 but with a heavier seat unit. Isolate power and remove the batteries Stannah lifts run on 24V sealed batteries in the carriage. Switch off at the isolator, disconnect the batteries and remove them for safe disposal — they should never go into general waste. 2. ### 2\.
