The Acorn 180 has been designed from the ground up for curved staircases. Its advanced self-levelling carriage moves along a unique modular rail system, coming to a soft stop with ease on every bend.
Unlike traditional curved stairlifts that require weeks for a custom rail to be manufactured, the Acorn 180 uses the FastTrack® modular system — assembled on-site to match your exact staircase in a matter of days.

The Acorn 180 is available with an automatic powered hinged rail option — the bottom of the track folds neatly out of the way when the lift isn't in use, eliminating any obstruction across a hallway or doorway. Your engineer will tell you at the survey whether your stairs need one.

How much does the Acorn 180 cost in Manchester?
A brand-new Acorn 180 curved stairlift is £2,995 fitted, including the free home survey, modular rail, installation and a 12-month warranty. Your staircase may have multiple bends or a half-landing — the price stays the same.
How quickly can it be installed?
Most Acorn 180 curved stairlifts are fitted within 1–3 weeks of the home survey. An emergency FastTrack option is available to fit within 48 hours if required.
Will it work on any curved staircase?
Yes — the Acorn 180 is designed for staircases with bends, turns and half-landings. The modular rail is assembled on-site to match your exact staircase geometry, with a maximum rail length of 30 metres and angles up to 58°.
Will it damage my staircase?
No. The rail fixes to the stair treads, not your wall. When the lift is removed, the small fixing holes are easily filled. No structural changes are needed.
Does it have a powered hinge option?
Yes — an automatic powered hinged rail is available for doorways or openings at the foot of the stairs. It folds the bottom of the track neatly out of the way when the lift isn't in use.
Is there a warranty?
Every new Acorn 180 includes a 12-month parts and labour warranty plus a 24-hour emergency callout line covering Greater Manchester.
